'Counting On': Is This Duggar Couple Happier Than The Rest?

Jim Bob Duggar is likely unhappy withhis own decision to let Jill Duggar meet her now-husband, Derick Dillard, wayback in 2014. Derick not only got himself booted from the family’s show CountingOn, but he has publicly outed Jim Bob as a control freak who hoardsearnings from the family’s appearance on TLC.  Followers were quick to point out that Jim Bobhas no one but himself to blame. After all, followers reasoned, it’s mostlybelieved that theDuggar kids’ marriages are arranged. Even if they are all arranged, although the family has never officially commented, there is one couple thatseems happier than most.

Who do fans think are the happiestcouple?

Jinger Duggar and JeremyVuolo are off living their lives in Los Angeles far from the prying eyes ofthe Duggar family, but that doesn’t mean they are the happiest couple. In fact, followers have some concerns about how well Jinger is acclimating to life in amassive city. The well-read Jeremy, when you really look at it, doesn’t seem tobe the perfect match for Jinger, either.

Instead, fans believe that Joy-AnnaDuggar and Austin Forsyth are actually the couple that seems to have the mostsubstantial connection. Reddit fans point out that Joy-Anna spoke about Austinwith great respect when she posted about his recent birthday. She indeed seemsto know more about her husband than her siblings know about their spouses. Thepair also appears to enjoy the same activities, and their hobbies and interestmesh well. Austin also seems to be an incredibly involved father, according toInstagram shots.

While some fans still think Austinlooks a little creepy, there really is nothing to indicate he’s a bad guy toJoy-Anna. In fact, he and Joy-Anna appear to get along swimmingly. Theirmarriage may have been strongly encouraged by their parents, but it looksas if, at the very least, they are well-suited to one another.

Which Duggar is unhappy with their lovematch?

While many people would quickly assumeAnna Duggar is the most unhappy in her marriage to Josh Duggar, for someinexplicable reason, they actually seem content. At least, Anna does. No oneknows what Josh thinks because he’s mostly been a ghost since his2015 back-to-back scandals. Followers are sure that Josiah Duggar isactually the most miserable in his marriage.

Josiah married Lauren Swanson in June2018 after just five months of courtship, according to InTouch. Fans never really warmed up to Lauren, and there have been a fewhints of trouble between the couple. During a marriage retreat, for example, Laurenand Josiah appeared to practice some pretty toxicbehavior. It is rumored that Josiah was actually forced into pursuing Laurenafter Jim Bob discovered Josiahwas using social media without permission. The Duggar kids are not allowedto use Instagram or Twitter before courtship, it would seem.

Followers have also questioned Josiah’ssexuality, and are concerned that he may have been forced down the aisle as away to squash the rumors. The Duggars, again, have never spoken publicly aboutthe allegations. If Josiah is unhappy, followers are unlikely to getconfirmation of that directly from him, unless something drastic changes. Fornow, he is a bit busy raising his child. Josiah and Lauren welcomed a daughter,BellaMilagro, in November 2019.

Are the Duggar family marriagesarranged?

Rumor has it that the Duggar patriarcharranges the marriage of his children. While it may not be as extreme as beingforced down the aisle, a church insider has revealed that couples are stronglyencouraged into beginning a courtship. More often than not, courtships end in marriage. The insider spoke to RadarOnline in the fall of 2019 and noted that Josh Duggar’s wedding to AnnaDuggar was arranged to deal with his teenage issues.

There is some belief that the marriagebetween Lauren and Josiah was forced, too. Lauren is actually spotted at Jill’swedding, years before she claims to have met Josiah, lending credence to thetheory. Duggar family weddings often include over 1000 guests, but still, thefamily must know the people they are inviting, at least on a surface level. Many followers also believe that JimBob specifically picked out Derick for Jill, although that love match seemsto have backfired on Jim Bob. Jill and Derick, however, seem reasonably happytogether, at least if Jill’s Instagram hashtags are to be believed.
