SUMMER Spellman has a new love interest as she continues her struggle with her diabetes.
However, her insecurities get the best of her when Aaron rejects her next week in Coronation Street.
While her fight with her eating disorder has finally come to light, Summer (portrayed by Harriet Bibby) is also suffering from diabetes.
But after a lot of turmoil with her bulimia, she has finally found the support she needed thanks to her guardian, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
The Weatherfield teen joined a diabetic support group and has met another teen called Aaron (James Craven) and has grown fond of him.
Is there romantic potential between both teens?

Coming up in the cobbles, Summer reveals to Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) that she’s joined a diabetic support group.
Later, he suggests to Summer they could give dating another go, Summer admits she’s fallen for someone else.
In later scenes, she meets up with Aaron from the diabetic support group and opens up about her bulimia.
Aaron is taken aback and Summer worries that she has scared him off.

Aaron assures Summer that he’s in no way judging her, but believes it is best if they don’t see each other outside of the support group.
This gets to Summer and, soon, her insecurities jolt back to the surface.
In her bedroom, Summer looks at her reflection in the mirror, hating what she sees.
To make matters worse, in later scenes, Summer tries to call Aaron but it goes straight to voicemail – could this trigger her eating disorder?
As mentioned above, Summer has struggled with disordered eating in recent months, until her friend Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) caught her red-handed.
Things went from bad to worse when Summer was wrongfully taken into the police station due to Jacob Hay's misdeeds and was left in a diabetic coma in her cell.
This prompted Billy to take charge and get Summer the help she needed for her diabetes.
Aaron had since been a source of support for her as a friendship slowly grew.
