KILLER Corey Brent flees Weatherfield as police find murder evidence next week in Coronation Street.
The footballer – who is played by Maximum Evans in the ITV soap – walked free after killing Nina’s boyfriend Seb in a harrowing hate crime attack targeting the pair because she was dressed as a goth.
But in recent scenes, Nina and Asha discovered new evidence linking Corey to the murder after spotting a man called Stu wearing his backpack, which Corey disposed of on the night of the attack.
Next week, Nina tells Abi that they found Corey’s blood-stained clothes and handed them into the police.
Meanwhile, Corey corners Stu and demands the content of the backpack.
Abi leaves Jack with Debbie, who ends up admitting that he’s worried Abi is out to kill Corey.
Meanwhile, Kevin returns home to find Abi packing her bags.
Abi opens up, telling Kevin how she stole his money and bought a gun to finish Corey off, but that Nina talked her out of it.
Later, Kevin finds Abi in Seb’s memorial garden and, telling her he loves her, begs her to meet him at the hotel where he’ll be waiting to marry her.
As Kevin and Jack wait at the wedding venue, they’re interrupted by Nina, who says she’s had a call from the police revealing that they’re going to reopen the case and arrest Corey.
When Corey and Stefan get wind of what’s happening, Stefan reveals he has a plan and heads out to call Eli’s dad.
