Coronation Street favourite Toyah Battersby's life is hanging in the balence next week, after she and Imran Habeeb are involved in a horror car crash.

This dramatic week of episodes starts with a flashforward of Imran leaving a chilling message for Toyah in which he reveals everything.

As we move back and forth, the action centres around a horrific car crash which leaves both Toyah and Imran lying unconscious in the wreckage – but will they survive?

With emotions boiling over on the cobbles, the stakes are at their highest as Abi Franklin, Kevin Webster, Imran Habeeb and Toyah Battersby go head to head following emotional court scenes where the fight for baby Alfie intensifies.

Abi is determined to clear her name and prove that Imran bribed Ben to lie in court, but feels that no matter what, the whole world is against her.

She decides that her only chance to be with her son is to flee the country with him, and begins to put her plan into motion, as she plans to kidnap baby Alfie.

However, Imran is having a crisis of conscience and unable to bear the guilt anymore, he decides to come clean to the court and to Toyah – but she has already begun to unravel his lies.

Toyah wants to go to the police and reveal what Imran has done, but soon it is too late, and the couple are involved in a huge car crash that leaves them unconscious.

In the aftermath of the crash, Imran tries to pull Toyah from the wreckage and begs her not to die as the ambulance arrives – but is he too late?

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Kevin admits to Abi that he wants her back in his life for good, but their heartfelt moment is interrupted by an unexpected knock on the door from the police.

They are horrified to learn that Imran and Toyah have been involved in a car crash, but the police soon discover that Kevin worked on the car beforehand at the garage and decide to take them both into custody.

Abi and Kevin are questioned by the police, with Kevin coming under suspicion for his involvement in the crash.

Meanwhile at the station, Kelly Neelan also tells the police that Imran was on his way to confess everything.

Later in the week, Kevin promises Abi that they will fight for custody of baby Alfie – but the police investigation into the crash is far from over.

What ramifications will this have for Kevin and Abi? And will Toyah Battersby survive?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.
