Avengers Endgame concluded with Captain America returning the Infinity Stones back to their different points in time. However, Steve Rogers never went back to 2023 and instead decided to settle down with Peggy Carter just after the Second World War, having the life with her he always wanted. Ever since the billion-dollar blockbuster released, Marvel fans have been wondering what Cap’s solo time travel adventures looked like.
After all, there’s plenty of unseen material with six Infinity Stones from four different points in time, plus Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, to return.
In 2014, there was the Power Stone to place back in The Orb on Morag, plus the Soul Stone to give back to its Keeper, Red Skull, on Vormir.
The latter would certainly be quite the encounter since Cap last saw his arch0nemesis being transported by the Space Stone to the desolate planet in the 1940s.
Then in 2013, there was the Reality Stone, which Cap will somehow need to re-inject into Jane Foster on Asgard while dropping off Thor’s hammer.
Next, in 2012, the Time Stone needed to be returned to The Ancient One in New York City, plus the Mind Stone, which was previously in Loki’s Sceptre, needed to go back into the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D., which was actually HYDRA in disguise.
While finally, Cap needed to take the Space Stone back to 1970 where it was housed in S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters at Camp Lehigh.
After that, Cap then travels back to the 1940s to finally be with Peggy Carter, although who knows what other time travel adventures he got up to?
Well, now a new report claims that Marvel are in the early stages of a project that will cover those off-screen moments.
According to We Got This Covered, their same sources who correctly predicted that the Guardians of the Galaxy would appear in Thor: Love and Thunder report that those Captain America time travel adventures are indeed coming.
However, it’s not clear as of yet whether they will be in the form of an MCU movie of a Disney+ miniseries or special.
Perhaps the project will even be animated, just like next year’s What If… Disney+ series.
Whatever the case, the biggest question is whether or not Chris Evans will return to play Captain America.

Evans bowed out as Cap at the end of Avengers Endgame, having grown old through the 20th century after returning to the 1940s to live Peggy.
However, there’s always a possibility of him returning one day and perhaps a voice-over role in an animated adventure might be more persuadable than a live-action return.
What we do know is that the 39-year-old has confirmed he will return to the MCU on one condition.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show in June, Evans said: “It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either.”
Evans continued: “I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey.
“If you’re going to revisit it, it can’t be a cash grab. It can’t be just because the audience wants to be excited.
“What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together.”
Surely Cap’s returning the Infinity Stones time travel adventures would fit his criteria?
