The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! campmates spend most of their time sitting around the fire revealing amusing anecdotes about their lives. However, in tonight’s instalment of the ITV series, Beverley was left red-faced when she insulted Vernon Kay’s TV presenting career during a discussion about the TV show Splash.

In the morning, talk turned to Splash, the TV show which involved Tom Daley teaching celebrities who to dive.

Beverley slammed the show and said she thought it was the most stupid programme ever.

However, unbeknownst to the Coronation Street stalwart, Vernon presented the reality show.

“It kept my central heating on though Beverley,” Vernon quipped.

The celebrities reminded Beverley Vernon was the show’s host leaving the actress horrified.

“Oh no,” Beverley remarked. “I’m so sorry Vernon, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry.”

While Beverley apologised, the rest of the campmates burst out laughing at the inadvertent insult.

Luckily, Vernon saw the funny side of his co-star’s comment.

Talking in the Telegraph, Beverley added: “I wanted to curl up and die, poor Vernon.

“I’m notorious for putting my foot in it and I really did in there.”

Meanwhile, the allocated camp chores are continuing to cause tension amongst the camp.

Jordan North was nominated to be the camp leader and chose Victoria Derbyshire as his deputy.

The pair were tasked with dividing up the celebrities into groups of two and allocating them particular camp chores.

AJ Pritchard woke up tired and was annoyed when he realised all the chopping wood had been used.

“I seem to be the only one chopping all the wood,” he said in the Telegraph.

“People don’t realise they’re allowed to [do it].”

Victoria gathered the celebrities and told them it wasn’t fair. AJ was the only one chopping wood.

She reminded them that everyone is allowed to chop the wood because it’s not a specific camp chore.

Vernon volunteered to help AJ as Jordan moaned about being bored because he wanted to do more to help.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV tomorrow at 9pm.
