JON Kay couldn't hide his delight as he posed with his stunning co-star at a Coronation party.

The BBC Breakfast favourite, 53, spent his Bank Holiday weekend off attending a street party.

He joined the celebrations along with his co-star, weather presenter Carol Kirkwood.

The pair were beaming with smiles as they took a selfie together withthe festivities going on in the background.

Jon simply wrote on his Instagram stories: "Carol + Cakes!!!"

Carol, 60, looked amazing as she wore an off-the-shoulder sparkly top.

Meanwhile, Jon sported a more casual appearance away from the BBC Breakfast sofa.

He wore a floral shirt along with a suit jacket and his trademark glasses.

Jon recently delighted fans this week when he excitedly announced his brand new role away from the big red sofa.

He confirmed that he would be switching his presenting role on the BBC's morning offering for a brand new gig.

Writing on Twitter, he informed his followers that he would be taking over the reigns of BBC Radio 4's Pick of the Week show.

It left Jon begging for help from his fans about what to include in his edition of the show.

Jon said: "Lend me your ears… I need a favour, please… I’m presenting #PickOfTheWeek on @BBCRadio4 next weekend and I’d love your recommendations.

"Pls let me know the best BBC audio content you hear in the next few days.

"Any gems from any BBC station, anywhere.. Thank you."
