Bake Off stars spoof iconic Snowman scene as they gear up for Christmas show

You have gateau hand it to Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding – they know how to pud a smile on our faces.

The hosts used their loaf to mimic a scene from The Snowman to launch The Great Christmas Bake Off.

Dressed as the lad in the Raymond Briggs classic, Sandi meets Noel in a snowman suit before they go Walking in the Air. Noel quips: “It’s freezing up here, I’ve practically got…” as snowballs are lobbed at them.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith join the pair and some former Bake Off favourites on the Channel 4 show on Christmas Day at 8pm.

Nadiya Hussain has wed her hubby a second time, years after their arranged marriage.

The Great British Bake Off champ, 33, was 19 when she and Abdal had an Islamic ceremony in Bangladesh in 2005. They only met the day before.

Revealing details of their second big day, Nadiya said: “Nothing fancy, just love. No frills. Just us. We did it again. I do. I always will. I would do it all over again.”

The TV chef took a day off baking too, hiring Whisk & Drizzle to create her colourful wedding cake – covered in macarons and mini cupcakes.
