Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was forced to go on the run in Emmerdale after rapist Lee died as a result of the injuries he’d inflicted upon him, and husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) set off with him. However, Aaron was left devastated during last night’s episode as — in an attempt to save his husband from having to live life on the run — Robert handed himself in to the police. Tonight, Aaron does everything he can to speak to Robert.
After Robert and Aaron headed off, Liv (Isobel Steele) tracked them down and made clear her intentions to go on the run alongside them. Aaron desperately tried to change Liv’s mind and, eventually he succeeded. However, it was clear that Robert could see what this whole situation was doing to both Liv and Aaron.
Disaster struck when DS Wise (Neil Roberts) tracked Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) to the cottage where Robert and Aaron were hiding out, but — in an attempt to save his husband from having to spend life on the run — Robert took it upon himself to turn himself in to the police.
Aaron was left devastated by Robert’s actions, and tonight, he struggles to come to terms with his husband’s decision.
As a result, he’s determined to speak with Robert — something which proves difficult considering he’s in now police custody, but that doesn’t stop Aaron from trying, that’s for sure.
Tensions are running high, but will Aaron get to speak to his husband?
What’s more, will he be able to come to terms with Robert’s decision — and the reasons why he did it?
Emmerdale continues on Friday 18th October at 7pm on ITV.
