A Place In The Sun legend teases big return 14 years after quitting

A former A Place in the Sun legend may be returning – a whole 14 years after she quit

Amanda Lamb fronted the programme from 2001 until 2009 and used to co-host with Jonnie Irwin, who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Amanda, 50, has teased her return by saying: "Rumours are I might be going back to do a few episodes so watch this space.

"I can’t tell you any more because it’s a secret but I might be doing some. You’ll have to wait and see!"

Speaking to Entertainment Daily, Amanda, a former model, said she got the telly bug back after filming in the Holiday Home Show.

She also said she had reached out to her former colleague Jonnie, 47, after hearing the tragic news that he had been given six months to live.

Amanda went on to say she had sent him a message and was sending him lots of love.

She added: "He’s a lovely lovely man, I wish him all the love in the world because he’s lovely."

Jonnie, a dad of three, recently had to assure fans he was not starving himself.

He recently met with How To Starve cancer author Jane McLelland and revealed to fans on Monday that he’s trying a tailor-made diet to try and starve his tumour.

Taking to his Instagram, Jonnie shared a snap of his dinner, writing: “For those who are worried that I’m starving myself don’t worry. I’m not.

“I’m trying to starve a tumour by blocking its feeding pathways, by taking ‘off label’ drugs as well as a tailored diet – losing weight is deffo not the aim!

“Plus exercise and key supplements with the expert help of @how_to_starve_cancer x.”

Jonnie was diagnosed with cancer in August 2020 and he has since been told that it has spread to his brain.

After making his diagnosis public last year, Jonnie credited "Jess and our boys" with helping him stay positive and focus on creating as many memories as he can with his beloved family.
