Ree and Ladd Drummond look like the perfect couple, but looks can be deceiving. Just like any other couple, they sometimes argue. It might be hard to believe, but disagreements do occur in The Pioneer Woman star’s household. Here’s one surprising thing Ree and Ladd Drummond argue about.

Exactly twenty years ago, we were dancing at our reception to John Michael Montgomery singing "I Swear." I will always love that song, but especially the line that goes "…and though I'll make mistakes, I'll never break your heart." After two decades, four children, a few pounds (ha), and a few ups and downs, I'm thankful tonight that we have kept that promise to each other.❤

Life can be tough, and no one knows that better than Ree and
Ladd. In an interview with People
magazine, Ladd spoke about their early years together and the tough times they
overcame. They experienced financial difficulty and were learning how to adjust
to marriage. Ladd’s business went through a setback during the Mad Cow disease
scare and the value of his land declined in the ’90s, reports People.

Ladd told People
things were so strained they had to forego vacations for six years. “The first
10 years of our marriage weren’t the easiest things in the world. We had
financial struggles; we had everything that every couple goes through in the
early years. The first six years that Ree and I were married we didn’t take a
single vacation, and she never complained once,” he said

Our anniversary blew by us last week! It's a sandwich generation thing. I love you, honey.❤️ Dang, you're a specimen.

Ree and Ladd are constantly on the go. Unfortunately, their
busy lifestyle sometimes affects their personal life. Hectic schedules caused
the couple to miss their anniversary 22nd wedding anniversary in September
2018. “Our anniversary blew by us last week! It’s a sandwich generation
thing. I love you, honey,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

However, the Food Network stars more than made up for it by
spending time with their children. Ree Drummond’s blog,
The Pioneer Woman, gave readers the play-by-play of their day. The couple visited
their daughter, Alex Drummond, so they could attend her Aggie ring ceremony at
Texas A&M University. Then they flew back home to catch their son Bryce’s high
school football game.

This is what Ree and Ladd argue about

Ree admits she and Ladd don’t always get along perfectly.
They have disagreements and argue just like any other couple. She told People their differences became evident when
they were building The Pioneer Woman Boarding House, their eight-room hotel.
They have wildly different design styles, so they chose to divide the
establishment down the middle and design each half differently. “I’m not going
to paint a rosy picture of husband and wife working perfectly together,” said
Ree. “There were definite disagreements, and that is part of why we ended up
splitting the building into two halves.”

Ree could steal a page out of Fixer
Upper star Joanna Gaines

playbook. In her book Homebody: A Guide
to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave
, she talks about keeping the
family’s design tastes in mind when decorating. She believes in getting the
whole family’s input when it comes to designing a space. This way, you can
avoid unnecessary arguments.
