WWE superstar Nia Jax is facing a potential year out after tearing both ACLS.
The former Raw Women’s Champion, 34, is undergoing double surgery after struggling for some time.
Jax, real name Savelina Fanene, announced the news on Twitter.
And she thanked the WWE Universe for their support as she prepares to go under the knife.
She wrote: “Some of you may or may not know, but I will be out of action for a little while.
“Unfortunately, I have been pushing through some pain over the last year due to injuries in my knees and I will be undergoing surgery to repair both of my ACLs.
“I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me! Thank you!”
And it was not only fans offering words of encouragement to the powerhouse as she starts on her road to recovery.
Fellow WWE star Dakota Kai wrote: “Injuries are never fun but you’ll be stronger on the other side. Heal up ASAP.”
Jax managed to fight the pain and appear at last week’s WrestleMania 35.
She and partner Tamina lost out on claiming the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles as The IIconics emerged triumphant in the Fatal Four-Way encounter.
Jax, who counts Hollywood star and WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as part of her family, came through the ranks of the company’s NXT developmental system.
She received a huge push in 2018 and crushed Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34 to become Raw Women’s champ.
Her injury comes in the same week that New Day member Big E announced he was also suffering with a knee issue.
The star is expected to be out for around six weeks due to a meniscus problem.
