Uefa branded ‘shambles’ for using Arsenal loan flop Denis Suarez on official posters for the Europa League final in Baku

UEFA have been branded "idiots" for including flop Denis Suarez on the billboard to promote the Europa League final.

The match takes place on May 29 in the Azerbaijan capital and victory for Unai Emery's side will seal their place in the Champions League.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea fans are unimpressed with Uefa's organisation of the event, with just 6,000 tickets available to each club and direct flights in short supply.

And now with Barcelona loan flop Suarez, 25, on the promo material around Baku, supporters are banding the event a "shambles".

The midfielder has yet to play 90 minutes in a competitive game for the Gunners and has been used sparingly as a substitute.

He last played 11 minutes in the 2-0 win over Manchester United and has been injured for their run-in, so would be unlikely to play anyway.

Many wondered if Uefa actually thought the player was outgoing Aaron Ramsey — who would not be able to play in the final either due to injury.

One fan tweeted: "I'm fine with that, he's got more chance of being there than most of us. Shambles."

Another joked: "Pretty sure they thought it was Ramsey."

A third tweeted: "UEFA are actually mocking us ffs."

While another is glad he is: "Finally being put to use."

Arsenal will boost their transfer funds by more than £40million if they beat Chelsea and win the Europa League final.

Their run to the final has earned them £31.49m in TV prize money already, which will rise by another £3.5m if they beat their London rivals.

Yet merely qualifying for the Champions League will be worth £38.25m next season before they even kick a ball, and they will receive this even if they lose all their games.
