Sky Sports Darts presenter Emma Paton shows off her favourite football team

Ever wondered which football team Sky Sports Darts presenter Emma Paton supports?

No? Well, we're about to tell you anyway, because it turns out the popular darts anchor is a big fan of Manchester United. Paton, who took over from Laura Woods as the main presenter of Sky Sports' darts coverage, revealed her football allegiance during a trip to the Women's FA Cup final between United and Chelsea earlier this month.

Paton posted a selfie of herself walking along Wembley Way, wearing a Red Devils shirt. She captioned the post: "Wembley bound! Come on @ManUtdWomen!!"

Perhaps surprisingly given the divisive nature of United, Paton received a wealth of positive comments underneath. One user wrote: "Never knew you were a man united fan get in Emma."

Someone else said: "I’m a Chelsea man but honestly it’s the growth in the woman’s game great." A third user added: "Hopefully the first of a double FA Cup win for United!"

Unfortunately for Paton and that particular United fan, it wasn't to be for Alessia Russo and co as Chelsea ran out narrow 1-0 winners in the Wembley sunshine. The men have the chance to right that wrong when they take on Manchester City under the arch in June.

Paton will no doubt be following the action closely, as she will at the O2 Arena on Thursday during Premier League finals night. The popular presenter will be on hand to guide viewers through Sky Sports' coverage of the event as Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton do battle in front of a packed house in the capital.

Sky Sports Darts colleague Wayne Mardle is backing Bully Boy to come out on top. He said: "I'm going to go with Michael Smith. I've still got this doubt hanging over my head regarding Van Gerwen and Smith doesn't fear him anymore.

"I don't think he panics about things like he used to but the way he took care of him in the world championship that's now done and dusted.

"He's got that knowledge of being 'I'm the best player on the planet, I'm the world champion, why can't I add the Premier League?'"
