The NFL community is still reeling over Saturday’s stunning quarterback swap between the Los Angeles Rams and the Detroit Lions, and it appears fans have found a new way to discuss the news: Veronika Khomyn’s Instagram account.
On Monday, Khomyn — the fiancée of Rams coach Sean McVay — posted a series of snaps from their recent vacation in Mexico, which also included a cozy one of the longtime couple.
“Not ready to leave paradise 🌴🌸,” she captioned the photos.
Shortly after the shots were uploaded to Khomyn’s page, some followers dropped comments about former Rams quarterback Jared Goff, 26, who was sent to Detroit in exchange for veteran signal-caller Matthew Stafford, 32.
“Where’s Goff,” one commenter posted.
“Thoughts on the new QB?” another asked.
“Coach looks very happy with his new quarterback,” one follower replied.
In addition to Goff — who was the Rams’ first overall pick in 2016 — Los Angeles also sent the Lions two future first-round draft picks and a third-rounder.
Prior to the start of the 2019 season, Goff signed a four-year, $134 million contract extension. With the Stafford trade, the Rams took on a dead cap hit of $22.2 million in 2021.
On Sunday, Goff spoke about the next chapter of his NFL career, telling NFL Network: “I’m just excited to be somewhere that I know wants me and appreciates me.”
As for Goff’s model girlfriend, Christen Harper, it appears her Instagram was also flooded with quarterback-centric comments, according to Awesemo.com.
