Real Madrid transfer news: Four most likely January signings including Mbappe and Eriksen as Zidane plots deals

REAL MADRID have been tipped to seek reinforcements during the January transfer window.

The Bernabeu giants are looking to defend their La Liga crown having wrestled it back from Barcelona.

But a 4-1 defeat to Valencia before the international break may have exposed some areas that need addressing.

Here, SunSport takes a closer look at the bookmakers' FOUR most likely deals that Real Madrid could complete in January.

Eduardo Camavinga – 3/1

Rennes prodigy Eduardo Camavinga is the most likely arrival at the Bernabeu this winter, according to the bookies.

The 18-year-old has already amassed 52 appearances for the Ligue 1 side AND recently made his full debut for France during a Nations League victory over Croatia.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all interested in central midfielder Camavinga.

But his signature will not come cheap with Rennes asking for a minimum of £62m to approve his sale.

Steep, yes. But Real have the financial muscle to make it happen and Ladbrokes think it's a 3/1 chance he'll make the switch in January.

Christian Eriksen – 4/1

The Denmark international has started just 11 fixtures since swapping Tottenham for Inter Milan.

And with things not clicking for him at the San Siro, there's talk of a premature exit.

Corriere dello Sport claim Antonio Conte and Co. would be prepared to cut their losses and sell to fund various other incomings.

And Real Madrid are a 4/1 shot to pick up the pieces.

Eriksen was reported to have agreed personal terms with Real before eventually plumping for Italy instead. Perhaps he'll get a second bite at the cherry.

Kylian Mbappe – 8/1

Oh… are we playing Football Manager?

It's no secret that Real Madrid dream of signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

In fact, the club's president Florentino Perez has already hinted that Mbappe will inevitably join at some point in the future.

And despite the uncertainty surrounding the 21-year-old's contract in Paris, it would be quite a stretch to see Los Blancos delivering a signing of this magnitude in January.

Gini Wijnaldum – 10/1

Talk of Georginio Wijnaldum leaving Liverpool is certainly gathering momentum.

The Holland midfielder is out of contract in June 2021 and will be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with sides outside the UK from January onwards.

AC Milan, Inter and Barcelona have all been tipped to make an approach in the coming weeks.

And Zidane's side are priced at 10/1 with Ladbrokes to spoil the party for their rivals.
