Purdue super fan Tyler Trent uses Colts owner Jim Irsay’s plane to go to Music City Bowl

The Purdue Boilermakers and Auburn Tigers will face off in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on Friday in Nashville With the help of Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, Tyler Trent will be there, too.

The Purdue super fan has inspired many throughout his battle with bone cancer. 

Taking Irsay's plane, as shown in a tweet by Trent's father, Tony, in which Tony thanks Irsay, ensures Trent will be able to fulfill his duties as the bowl game's honorary captain. Trent will join the teams on the field for the coin toss.

The Carmel, Ind., native and former Purdue student native has became a viral sports icon through the courage and positivity he's shown during his battle with osteosarcoma.  

Trent isn't just popular among the Purdue faithful. He's evoked chants of "Cancer Sucks" from opposing crowds, co-hosted "SportsCenter" with Scott Van Pelt and even joined the Pacers radio announcing team for a home game.
