Lucky punter NAILS unbelievable 7-1 prediction and scoops £2,500 thanks to Mohamed Salah and Liverpool | The Sun

ONE savvy punter was deemed a 'TIME TRAVELLER' after their remarkable 7-1 Liverpool win prediction came true last night.

The plucky Betfair gambler stuck £10 on the bet FOUR MINUTES before kick-off in the clash against a hopeful Rangers side.

At one stage, it surely looked like £10 wasted, particularly with the game level at 1-1 going into the break.

Gers started brightly enough and even scored their first goal of the season through Scott Arfield.

That was cancelled out before the break by a Roberto Firmino header.

It remained a good atmosphere with the home support expectant in the second 45 minutes and praying for a continued performance.

That was before hopefulness turned to hopelessness as the Rangers rearguard completely capitulated.

Though Liverpool did at least wait ten minutes before taking the lead through Firmino again and Darwin Nunez extended that on 66 minutes.

Four goals were still needed with 15 minutes to go with the bet essentially a gonner.

That was until Mo Salah stepped off the bench to hit a hat trick inside 6 minutes 12 seconds to send the traveling support and this punter into dreamland.

The incredible atmosphere disappeared, as did many of the 50,000 supporters who headed for the exit with a quarter of an hour to go.

Harvey Elliott then got his first Champions League goal on 87 minutes and suddenly it was panic stations that they would add more to their total.

Credit where it's due, Rangers defended well for that last 180 seconds and this punter landed an almighty punt.

Sharing a pic of the punt, Betfair tweeted: "A Betfair punter placed this bet 4 minutes before kick-off at Ibrox.

"Time traveller or Celtic fan?"
