NEWCASTLE are clear favourites to sign James Maddison.
That's according to bookmakers Betfair, who've priced Eddie Howe's side at 7-2 to clinch his signature before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

Maddison, 26, is enjoying another impressive campaign at the King Power.
He's scored seven goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances in all competitions, making him Leicester's top scorer in 2022-23.
His exploits even earned him a place Gareth Southgate's England World Cup squad.
But doubts over his future have crept in with around 18 months left on his contract, which expires in June 2024.
Leicester's signing of Brazilian winger Tete also raises questions over whether the Foxes are resigned to losing Maddison.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Newcastle are very interested and will make an approach this summer.
They are long-time admirers of the playmaker, and saw two separate offers of £40million and £45m rejected last year.

Betfair believe St James' Park is comfortably his most likely next destination, and have them frontrunners in their betting markets.
Some Newcastle fans are now tracking Maddison's social media activity, and noticed that he changed his Instagram profile picture from himself in a Leicester kit, to him modelling England's home shirt.
Tottenham are offered at 14-1, ahead of London rivals Chelsea at 20-1.
Manager Brendan Rodgers opened the door to a departure when admitting his talisman could leave due to the financial resources of the club.
He said: "It's getting more difficult.
"The financial resources, not just in the top six, makes it really difficult. Clubs have multiple injections of finances. We have one owner and one family."
