He is up to this standard. Punchbowl Flyer got the job done well at Windsor and will enjoy any juice in the ground.

A 5lb rise gives him a chance. Capote’s Dream battled to score at Windsor and went well on soft when trained in Ireland. He has more to offer for in-form Tom Ward.

Frankie rides Helvezia who was third in a Goodwood Listed race when last seen and would have every chance if fit on comeback.

Musicality was rusty at Ascot but is proven at this level.


EL ASTRONAUTE was impressive when winning at Chester last time after eight months off. He keeps it simple from the front and goes on any ground. He can follow up last year’s win.

Tarboosh is proven in this grade and will improve for his comeback at Musselburgh. This distance is ideal and he was third in this race two years ago.

Motagally has pace but wants it faster with his last win coming on firm at Bath.

Aljady didn’t fire at Newmarket latest but drops in grade here and trainer Robert Cowell is going well.

Glamorous Anna was behind him at HQ but looked in need of the run and will be fitter today.

Count D’Orsay had traffic problems at York and could nick a place over his favourite course and distance.


ORIENTAL MYSTIQUE did well to finish a close third in a Goodwood Listed race last time despite not really handling the track.

She stays well and hasmore to offer this season.

Cabaletta has been running in hotter contests including at York earlier this month. She goes back over her best distance and first-time blinkers could fire her up.

La Lune dug deep to strike at Nottingham on comeback and isn’t ruled out upped in class although her best form has come on quicker ground.

The others have plenty to find but Salsada should improve for this stamina test but may need this comeback.

Wait For The Lord and National Treasure both struggled in lower grades last time and are hard to fancy here.


RIVER NYMPH landed the 27-runner Victoria Cup at Ascot last time and can step out of handicap class.

She relishes this trip and some cut and is capable of improvement.

With Thanks was in flying form last season, finishing with an easy Group 3 win at Naas. She’s back from a break but is feared.

Safe Voyage won two Group 2s last year and won this race in 2019. She goes well fresh and will be right there.

Glorious Journey is a seasoned performer at the top leveland ran well in Saudi when last seen in February. This trip suits and Charlie Appleby is in top form.

Kinross didn’t show a lot in Dubai but clocked a fast time when winning at Kempton in November.



KYBER CRYSTAL showed loads of promise when second on debut at Donny last time. She coped with the soft ground well and her sire has a strong record when it’s bottomless. There’s more to come.

Hester Prynne saw out this trip strongly when winning on debut here earlier this month. Her stall ten draw isn’t ideal but she has enough talent to figure.

May Blossom found a York Listed contest too much last time after battling to win at Pontefract. Her experience could count.

Lucy Lulu was second in the Catterick mud after winning at Donny and has place claims again as does Lady Ayresome who had plenty in hand when winning a little race here last month.

Mark Johnston gives Jilly Cooper her debut in this decent class so watch the betting, with similar applying to Tiare.


RYAN’S PARTY can reverse Hamilton form with Tipperary Sunset getting 4lb. He missed the kick on that and finished well just behind John Quinn’s flyer. They both handled the soft ground well and can fight this out.

Newcomer Straits Of Moyle cost a few quid and is respected coming from Richard Fahey and the betting will guide.

Mercurial battled well to win at Chester and shapes as though further will suit which is a good thing on this ground.

The Gatekeeper has talent but didn’t like the mud last time so York second Robjon is a bigger threat for Richard Hannon.



EJTILAAB ran well from a bad draw here last time and is much better off in stall one today.

He likes this trip with give in the ground and can go close in an open race.

Boardman had lots in hand when scoring at Haydock before another easy win at York. He’s up a total of 15lb now but can still have a say.

Another Batt chased home the tip here before franking the form with a Thirsk success. This trip is ideal and he’s a threat.

Azano was just over two lengths behind him in Yorkshire and the booking of James Doyle catches the eye.

He’s not won for a good while but could hit the places again.

King’s Knight is in solid form but is climbing the weights.
