Harry Wilson set for Fulham transfer in £12m deal from Liverpool and will sign four-year deal after completing medical

HARRY WILSON is on his way to London to complete his medical ahead of his £12million move to Fulham.

The 24-year-old Welsh international flew back from Liverpool's pre-season base in Austria after being left out of the Reds' 1-0 win over Mainz yesterday.

SunSport can reveal the winger has agreed to join Marco Silva at Craven Cottage as the Portuguese boss looks to lead his side back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Liverpool had slapped a £15million fee on Wilson, who has made just two competitive first-team appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side since graduating from the Reds' Academy.

However Fulham were able to seal a deal after increasing their initial £10m bid by a further £2m.

Wilson, who made three appearances for Wales at Euro 2020, has spent most of his career on loan at Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City, earning the Kop club millions in loan fees.

Last season he scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 37 appearances for Mick McCarthy's Cardiff, including a hat-trick against Birmingham City in his penultimate game for the Bluebirds.

But his Euro adventure turned sour this summer when Wilson was harshly sent off in the last minute of Wales' 4-0 defeat by Denmark in their last 16 tie in Amsterdam.

Benfica, Rangers, Cardiff City and Brentford were all linked with moves for Wilson only to be scared off by Liverpool's price tag.

However former Everton boss Silva was happy to do business with his old Anfield rivals, once they dropped their price.

And the Portuguese coach sees Wilson as crucial to his side's promotion hopes.
