Gareth Bale SMILES as he is booed and whistled at by Real Madrid fans as he comes off the bench in Getafe win

GARETH BALE appeared unfazed as he came off the bench to jeers from supporters during Real Madrid's clash with Getafe.

The 32-year-old was introduced in the 74th minute of the game as Karim Benzema's replacement.

It marked his first appearance at the Santiago Bernabeu since February 2020.

Bale has fallen out of favour with Carlo Ancelotti at the club and rarely makes an appearance in the starting line-up.

Real Madrid fans have also lost faith in the star, and made their feelings known as he came on for the final 15 minutes against Getafe on Saturday.

As his name was announced, Bale was greeted by a wave of boos and whistles.
