CONOR McGREGOR showed off his hench and bulky body transformation ahead of a rumoured return to UFC.
But he might have to shed some pounds before clambering back into the octagon as Dana White is adamant he has to fight at lightweight.
McGregor is believed to be close to agreeing the finer details to return to UFC on January 23.
He will fight Dustin Poirier in a rematch having already knocked out the American in 2014 with a first-round stoppage win by punches.
The Notorious confirmed the date in a tweet, which read: "I accept, Jan 23rd is on.
"My goal is to see the fight take place in Cowboy stadium. Proper Style!
"Jerry Jones is a friend and the stadium can hold our crowd. I will be ready for Texas and Texas will be ready for my fans. Then Manny."
'Manny' relates to the prospective boxing match against Manny Pacquiao, with both parties having agreed on this too.
It was rumoured that McGregor versus Poirier could take place at welterweight or even a catchweight.
But White has laughed off that happening – meaning McGregor might have some weight to lose before his call out of retirement for a THIRD time.
White told BT Sport the fight ‘means nothing’ if it happens at 170lbs or even a catchweight.
He said: “I’m not putting on a freaking multi-million dollar fight at a catch weight that means nothing.
“That fight means nothing at 170.
“Neither one of those two are ranked at 170 pounds and it doesn’t do anything in the [155] pound division if either one of them win cause they’re fighting at 170. It literally makes no sense.”
And the prospect of cutting back down to lightweight has been sweetened after McGregor's rival Khabib Nurmagomedov retired.
Nurmagomedov, 32, made the shock announcement after beating Justin Gaethje, 31, in the UFC 254 headliner.
It will mean his lightweight belt will become vacant, and Gaethje called to fight McGregor for the title.
He said: “Poirier and McGregor are gonna fight, they haven’t made it official, so if McGregor wants to bounce out and get the belt, I’m right here.
“If they want to give it to someone else then so be it, but I’ll be ready to fight again.
"This is my job, this is my life and I love it so much.”
