CHELSEA have reportedly ruled out signing Harry Maguire after moving on to a new target.
Maguire, 30, could leave Old Trafford this summer after he was stripped of the captaincy.
The defender also saw his game time drop last season under manager Erik ten Hag with it believed that he could be sold.
SunSport revealed Chelsea were interested in a move for the England international after Wesley Fofana picked up a major injury.
The £70million signing from Leicester City has undergone surgery to reconstruct his ACL after specialists assessed that an operation would be necessary.
This has seemingly forced the Blues into the market as they look for cover for the Frenchman.

However, Mauricio Pochettino will not be pursuing a move for Maguire, according to the Guardian.
The report claims that Chelsea would prefer a deal for Crystal Palace ace Marc Guehi.
The Englishman is a former graduate of the Cobham academy but left the club for Palace two years ago after impressing on loan in the Championship with Swansea City.
It is suggested that Palace might be open to selling the defender as long as they make a "significant profit" on the £18m they spent on him in 2021.
