You can name a cockroach after your ex and feed it to animal for Valentine’s Day

Valentine's Day is fast approaching ladies and gentlemen.

While most loved-up couples might spend it at home with a nice dinner, others like to head somewhere special.

But if you're recently single on February 14, the occasion might be a tough time for you.

However, there's one way you can get over your ex this Valentine's Day.

The San Antonio Zoo is offering a special Valentine's Day greeting for all those ex-flames living rent free in your head.

For just £8 ($10), the zoo will name a cockroach after your former partner.

It's the most perfect – yet subtle – way to get a bit of revenge on a past boyfriend/girlfriend.

And you don't have to feel bad about it either as the money goes towards helping animals at the Texas, US, zoo.

Donors will receive a digital Valentine's Day card acknowledging their support of the fundraiser.

But if a roach isn't your style, you can have a veggie named after an ex for just £4 ($5).

If you're feeling extra charitable, you can also name your ex after a rat for just £20, or $35.

The website said: "San Antonio Zoo hosts its Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser, where funds raised support the zoo's vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world!

"This Valentine's, join in the fun by donating to symbolically name a cockroach, rodent, or veggie after your not-so-special someone!"

There is also an upgrade option for £121 ($159) if the above doesn't sound like enough for you.

It added: "Did your ex-partner, boss, or bestie really make 2022 difficult?

"Upgrade your donation to our personalised option, and we'll create an individualised video message of your cockroach, rodent, or veggie being fed to one of our animals for you to send to your not-so-special someone."

Now that's savage…
