Where Sarah Ferguson is as she misses King Charles’ Coronation due to divorce

King Charles’ Coronation will see a host of famous faces pile into Westminster Abbey – but one recognisableroyal will not be among them.

Sarah Ferguson, known as Fergie, has confirmed that she will not be attending the historic ceremony on Saturday (6 May).

The Duchess of York, 63, has previously revealed how she was not invited to the Coronation – and was not offended by that.

She went on to explain that she did not get an invite to the ceremony because she andPrince Andrew – the second son of Queen Elizabeth II – aredivorced.

Speaking on an episode ofGood Morning Britain, she said: “It’s a state occasion and being divorced, I don’t think you can have it both ways.

She added: “You can’t have it both ways. You mustn’t sit on the fence. You’re either in or out, but don’t muck around.”

Fergie was married to the disgraced Duke of York for 10 years before their divorce in 1996 and they had two daughters together –Princess Beatrice andPrincess Eugenie.

She and Andrew, also now 63, had split in 1992 after Fergie became embroiled in theinfamous toe-sucking scandal.

But despite their divorce, the pair have remained close over the years – still living together at Royal Lodge, Windsor.

And as for Fergie’s plans for Coronation Day, sheexclusively told OK! she will be watching it on television alongside the late Queen's corgis, who live with her and Andrew.

She said: "I will definitely be watching it on television and will be championing it from there. I'll be watching with the Corgis [Muick and Sandy] who will be up there barking away."

She also previously told talk show Loose Women: "I personally will be having a little tearoom and coronation chicken sandwich and putting out the bunting, that's what I'm going to be doing. Because that would make me very happy.

"I also love to watch it on telly because you hear a lot on telly, the commentators' are always good and then everyone, all the family come back."

But, while Fergie won’t be at Saturday’s momentous ceremony, she has reportedly been givena VIP invitation to King Charles’ Coronation Concert.

The concert, set to go ahead on Sunday (7 May), will include performances from pop legends such as fromTake That, Lionel Richie andKaty Perry.

A source said Ferige was "delighted" with the concert invite and did not expect to be asked to attend Saturday's official ceremony.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed thatPrince Harry willattend the Coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey – despite the on-going tensions with the Royal Family caused by his explosive memoirSpare.

His wifeMeghan Markle, however, will miss it, instead staying at home inMontecito, California with their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
