The actress always raids her mother’s closet
Even though Tracee Ellis Ross had mentioned her mother’s strict upbringing of Ross and her siblings, the actress has discussed how close she is to her mother. The 46-year-old actress told InStyle magazine that she likes going through her mother’s storage unit and it is “like going through a museum”.
Ross has even credited her mother for her love of fashion. She stated, “As a kid I saw my mom as the lady in the sparkly dress on the stage who sang, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found the language to articulate that what I was seeing was a woman in her full glory being in connection with this gift she was given, being glamorous and sexy but not in a way that’s ‘Look at me.’”
Of course with your mother being the one and only Diana Ross, there is no question that you wouldn’t fall in love with all things fashion!
Tracee isn’t the only actor in her family
Since Ross comes from a very talented family, it does not come as a shock that her siblings have some acting chops as well. Ross’ maternal half-sister, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, has played a role on the daytime soap opera Another World and was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy.
