Queen Letizia of Spain stepped out in a fuchsia ensemble as she attended an event in Madrid today.

The royal, 50, was snapped as she attended the National Sports Awards at the Royal Palace of El Pardo with her husband King Felipe.

She donned a chic outfit for the function, wearing a fuchsia blouse in a silky fabric and coordinating midi skirt in a similar hue.

Finishing the fashion-forward look, the mother-of-two opted for a pair of nude pointed slingback shoes with a stiletto heel.

Letizia opted for her trademark glossy chestnut locks, which she wore styled into a sleek blowdried down do.

When it came to cosmetics, the royal opted for a dewy, natural base, paired with pink blush and a pink lip.

The focal point of her makeup look was a brown, smokey eye, alongside black eyeliner, and well-groomed full brows.

Her jewellery was extremely minimal, and included a pair of gold hoop earrings in her lobes, and a simple ring on her index finger.

Meanwhile, her husband Prince Felipe looked dapper, donning a navy pinstripe two-piece suit.

The 55-year-old also sported a pale blue shirt, and a reddish tie, which coordinated with his wife’s similar-toned outfit.

As the final touch to his outfit, Felipe opted for a pair of black leather double monk strap shoes.

While attending the National Sports Awards, the royal couple handed out a number of honours to athletes.

The royals both wore similar shades – with the king simply incorporating the colour into his tie, whereas the Queen donned a full outfit boasting the colour

Among them, they honoured Spanish golf player Jon Rahm (whose trophy was collected by his mother Angela Rodriguez), and FC Barcelona’s midfielder Alexia Putellas.

They also handed out an award to Venezuelan athlete Yulimar Rojas, who currently holds the world record for women’s triple jump.

Today’s engagement follows the royal’s visit to the south of Spain for the talent tour and prize winner announcement event, hosted by the Princess Girona Foundation.

During the appointment, she wore a dress from Spanish brand Cayro, which cost just €96.

The Queen looked more ready than ever for Spring as she stepped out in a brightly coloured floral midi-dress.

The garment  made from a crepe fabric and has an adjustable waist tie with a ring style belt.

The half-sleeve dress has material gathered on one shoulder and has an array of colourful flowers printed on it, such as yellow, pink, lavender and tangerine.

The Princess Girona Foundation was set up to help young people prepare for their future – both professionally and personally – and focuses on getting younger people who have been successful in their lives to become role models for others.
