My ex is putting our two vulnerable daughters at risk by breaking Covid rules

DEAR DEIDRE: DESPITE having supervised contact with our two girls aged six and eight, my ex is breaking all the Covid rules.

He mixes with other people and has been throwing drink and drug-fuelled parties.

Our younger one has immune problems and is vulnerable. She is in a special bubble at school.

Their dad says he has the right to see his daughters.

He even told the social worker he had tested negative for the virus so he could cuddle the kids but he didn’t take a test.

What can I do?

DEIDRE SAYS: Be firm with him that he loses his right to see his children if he continues to risk your children’s health – and yours.

Share your worries with the social worker and suggest they ask for proof of a negative test.

If he digs his heels in you can find guidance through Gingerbread who support single parents (gingerbread.org.uk).
