We've heard enough stories now to know that some parents-to-be can get a little… territorial over their choice of baby name .
It's partly why even the most reasonable of us often elect to keep our choice secret.
If you keep your cards close to your chest, no one can 'pinch' your name – plus you can always change it if someone else 'beats you to it' – that's if, of course, these sorts of dramas matter to you.
Because for some people BOY does it matter and, should you need further proof, here's one woman's interesting account of a conversation she had with a friend about her baby name choice.
Jennay, a dog owner , went on Facebook to ask for advice on how to deal with the unusual request, BoredPanda reports.
A mum-to-be known to Jennay got in touch demanding that she change her dog's name, which is Tilly, because she's earmarked a similar one for her unborn daughter…
According to Jennay, "Out of the blue she messages me telling me she's pregnant again, I think it's strange she's telling me since we don't really now each other but I say 'congratulations I'm super happy for you etc'".
The mum-to-be then explains she's having a girl and Jennay once again expresses her good wishes.
Then she drops her bombshell.
Jennay continues: "She says, 'we want to name her Tillie but it's come to my attention you've got a dog named Tilly. I'd really appreciate you changing your dog's name.
"Obviously you understand my daughter can't have the same name as a dog."
"I'm like WTF," Jennay wrote, adding there was only the slimmest of chances her dog and the baby would ever cross paths.
Jennay's refusal to comply only infuriated the mum-to-be, who accused her of not understanding what "a terrible position" she was putting her in because she doesn't have any kids herself.
