Meghan Markle’s sister has taken a swipe at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Christmas card photo, labelling it ‘a bit sad’.
The couple shared a sweet snap from their wedding day to celebrate the festive period, which shows them watching the fireworks at the private evening reception.
They look relaxed in the black and white picture, with their backs to the camera and their arms around each other.
But Samantha Markle clearly isn’t impressed with the photo, and took to Twitter to share her views on it.
She commented on the fact the couple aren’t looking at the camera, and asks if they are turning their backs on the world or just her family.
She writes: "Interesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have their backs turned.
"Is this towards the world or just the Ragland and Markle family? "It’s a bit sad. Face the Christmas spirit."
The Sussexes shared the photo on social media this week to the delight of royal fans.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared a family snap featuring George, Charlotte and Louis.
Samantha’s message is the latest in a series of negative comments she has made about her half-sister, since the family fell out in the lead up to the Royal Wedding.
She shares the same dad as Meghan and changed her name to Markle when her sister was connected to the royal family.
She’s also claimed that Meghan was also their dad Thomas Markle’s favourite, and she always got the best presents.
In his book Meghan Markle: A Hollywood Princess, royal biographer Andrew Morton claims she would always get exactly what she wanted for Christmas, regardless of the price tag.
He describes how Samantha "often told the story of the time before Christmas when Meghan was looking at a jewellery catalogue and picking out a ring, which Tom Senior promised as a gift."
The book also claims that Meghan "teased her much older sister by saying that whatever her father bought [her half-sister Samantha], Meghan would receive the most expensive gift as she was the most favoured child."
