Marcus remained steadfast in his view that children shouldn’t be given breakfast or tampons at school, tweeting: ‘If you say you cannot afford to give your child a piece of toast or a bowl of porridge, you’re doing something wrong with regards to budgeting. That’s my final word on the matter to the Twitter mob.’
Various people replied to him asking why children should be punished for their parents financial mishandling, if that is the cause of their poverty, but Marcus didn’t reply to them.
