Another day, another reason to take a trip to your local supermarket – and not just because Cadbury’s Mini Eggs are already on sale. We’ve caught wind that a sell-out face cream is now back in stock, which bargain-hunting beauty lovers are going to want to snap up immediately.
While it’s Aldi’s affordable skincare, hair products and fragrances that regularly make the headlines, savvy shoppers have been raving about another supermarket own brand offering ever since it flew off the shelves after appearing on ITV’s Lorraine back in 2018: Lidl’s Cien Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream, which costs just £1.49 for a 50ml tub. Luckily for customers, it’s now back in stock and in stores.
Containing hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and coenzyme Q10, this moisturiser claims to both reduce the appearance of deep-set wrinkles and also help to prevent the formation of new wrinkles.
And it’s been getting plenty of positive reviews across the internet. “THIS IS AMAZING!” wrote one happy customer on the review website Influenster. “I have combination skin and this just makes my skin flourish and heal itself immensely. It’s so cheap and worth it. Definitely recommend.”
“I have actually researched the ingredients…and they are quite good ingredients – just a copy of a more expensive brand,” said one Amazon shopper, who gave it four out of five stars in total, while podcast host Scott McGlynn told Express.co.uk that his skin was “left feeling fresh and radiant after using it”.
While we can’t confirm precisely which “expensive brand” that shopper referred to, some are suggesting that it’s Charlotte Tilbury, as the Lidl moisturiser contains 18 of the same ingredients as the best-selling Charlotte’s Magic Cream. However with Magic Cream costing £79 for 50ml, Lidl’s offering is a whopping 50 times cheaper.
In fact, you can complete your skincare routine and still have change from a tenner, as there’s also an Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream (£1.49) and Intensive Serum (£2.99) in Lidl’s Cien Q10 skincare range.
We’ve also found plenty of other brilliant beauty bargains to keep an eye out for when shopping, from this incredible deal on Molly-Mae Hague’s favourite hot brush to these £2 versions of designer perfumes like YSL Black Opium.
