Inside pregnant Catherine Tyldesley’s cottage break in Wales

Catherine Tyldesley has given fans a sneak peek into her recent family trip to Wales with husband Tom Pitfield and six year old son Alfie.

The former Coronation Street star, 38, took to Instagram to share a selection of snaps from their recent getaway with her 644,000 followers.

Catherine, whois set to welcome her second child with Tom in April, celebrated the new year with her family in a stunning cottage in Rhiw, North Wales.

The actress shared an adorable family picture from inside the property, with six year old Alfie beaming as he stood in between his parents.

Catherine showed off her blossoming baby bump in a grey knitted top and dark blue jeans, paired with white platform trainers.

She also gave fans a glimpse into the sprawling cottage they had rented out for the trip from Sykes Cottages.

The property, named Moel Yr Wyn, boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, and can sleep up to 12 guests altogether.

Catherine shared a picture from outside the home, showing off the terrace and outdoor seating area.

A second snap shows a peek into the spacious living area, which boasts huge windows providing breathtaking views of the countryside.

A large sofa is situated in one corner, and the room features glossy tiled flooring with a dark pink rug laid out in the centre.

The former soap star also showed off the impressive dining table which is at the other end of the lounge area.

Catherine and Alfie can be seen sat at the table enjoying their lunch, with the mum of one smiling for the camera as she sips on a hot drink.

The pregnant star captioned the selection of pictures: "Cottage Break.

"What a lovely break we’ve had! Wales your beauty never fails to hold my heart!

"Not everything went to plan- we had a beautiful cottage ‘Moel Yr Wyn’ in Rhiw from @sykescottages – the cottage sleeps 12 and is utterly GORGEOUS!! But thanks to this bloody Omicron milarkie our pals couldn’t be with us! Best laid plans eh?! So just the three of us had the pure joy of staying here. We loved every second!"

Catherine also added: "We use @sykescottages every year and honestly and truly – we have never been disappointed. This cottage is defo one of our faves though! We’ve already booked to go back! Some much needed time to rest and reflect, beach walks , good films and Ofcourse- damn good food!!

"So many stunning beaches nearby- I always feel so at peace near the sea! Feeling very grateful. Here’s to a fab 2022!"

Alongside the sweet photos of their cottage stay, Catherine also shared a few snaps of the family exploring Wales during their visit.

The trio visited the beach together, with Alfie looking to enjoy himself as he walked along the sand and stared out at the ocean.

Catherine wrapped up warm in one picture, as she donned a beige winter coat and knitted hat while sipping on a hot drink outside.

Catherine's family getaway comes after she recently shared a hilarious picture of her and her dad, Graham, during the festive period.

The photo showed her comparing her growing baby bump to her dad's stomach in a funny 'belly off' moment, which she posed to her popular Instagram page.

Captioning the post, the 38 year iold wrote: "Pure happiness. This picture with my dad Graham (aka ‘G-Unit’) is hands down my fave photo this Christmas."

She continued: "My parents are earth angels. This man has dedicated his whole life to our family… and he’s daft as a bloody brush! Love you dad – I think you won the ‘Belly-off’!"
