I'm fed up with people telling me I am not the biological father of my youngest child

I discovered 14 years ago my wife had been cheating on me but DNA tests proved our daughter was mine. She was eight then.

After that we had a son, who is 16 now. My wife left me when he was small.

Loads of people have said I am not his father. I asked my ex for DNA tests but she refused.

I want to tell her I will cut him from my will if I don’t get a test and she can explain to him why his sister inherited what he didn’t. I am 46, my ex is 43.

DEIDRE SAYS: I do get your frustration but do you really want to punish a boy who believes he is your son?

What would that achieve? Does biology really matter more than feelings?

Do be careful. This sounds like it is more about punishing your ex than finding out the truth.

Before you act, talk it all through with Family Lives (familylives.org.uk, 0808 800 2222).
