Today’s horoscope starts in the darkness of the New Moon. In Western astrology, New Moons mark the start of a new lunar cycle. And with this, hopefully, comes the start of a new phase in your life.
New Moons arrive at the start of the monthly lunar cycle when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction – a celestial bond in the same sign of the zodiac.
On the night of the New Moon, the lunar orb appears pitch black.
Consequently, now is the time to set yourself new goals, new paths to follow.
Astrologer Gregory Scott believes this will blend perfectly with energies streaming from Mars.
Mars is too asking of you now to set new goals, so the two go hand-in-hand.
The astrologer said: “Scorpio means that you have access to this whole ocean of your own feelings.
“So you can really check what it is you’re supposed to be doing.”
But don’t rush in, lest you overwhelm yourself with this task.
Instead, pace yourself and set out one, or two, or three goals that are manageable.
It will do you no good to overburden yourself and the added stress is something you can do without.
As Mr Scott noted, do not consider this an opportunity to sort your entire life out.
The Moon will move into Sagittarius later into the day, and with that comes another shift.
Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac, represented by the Archer.

Sagittarius is a Fire sign and it is said to highlight generosity, idealism and a great sense of humour to boot.
Mr Scott said: “The Moon in Sagittarius is very focused on the outside world, and the future, and expanding, and exiting the self and connecting with other people.
“It Trines Chiron in Aries, so it brings lots of Fire into the chart.
“And it Quincux’s Uranus and Taurus, so now your actions can have real, significant consequences.”
Another energy to look out for is Venus in Libra as the planet squares Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn at 90 degrees.
According to Mr Scott, what you see here is change on a very big level.
The key to these changes, however, is control and the motivation to see it through.
