Burger King now does a mini Bacon King burger – and it comes with nuggets and fries for £5

Brand new on the menu is the Bacon King Jr, a smaller version of the popular Bacon King.

The baconlicious bun includes; a double flame grilled 100 per cent beef burger, topped with four rashers of thick-cut smoked bacon, melted American cheese, ketchup and creamy mayonnaise.

It has all the same ingredients as its full sized counterpart but is 570 calories rather than 1150.

If you get the King Box Deal, the delicious burger comes with crispy fries, tasty chicken nuggets and a refreshingly cool drink of your choice all for just £4.99.

Soco Nunez de Cela, from Burger King said: “Our UK guests love bacon, so we hope that by introducing the Bacon King Jr to the King Box menu, we will help to satisfy their bacon-loving-bellies at a steal of a price.”

For 30p more at McDonald's you can get a full sized Big Mac bacon with fries and a drink.

But you would have to pay more if you wanted nuggets as well!

The fast food chain said it's the first time in 51 years that it's changed the Big Mac recipe by introducing bacon.

It also has a junior version that only costs £2.79!

If you don't fancy the bacon burger you can get the Long Big King, the Long Texas BBQ, or the Veggie Bean Burger for the same unbeatable price.

There are approximately 500 Burger Kings in the UK today.

Last year, Burger King's CEO  said that it was planning to open between 30 a 50 stores a year for the next few years, to try and regain scale.

At its peak, Burger King had 700 across the UK.

By comparison, there are 1,700 McDonald's across the UK.
