Ariana Grande is celebrating her first-ever Grammy Award with some sweet canine companionship.
After skipping Sunday night’s ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles — where her record Sweetener picked up the best pop vocal album prize — the 25-year-old singer cuddled close to her late ex Mac Miller‘s dog, Myron.
In a black-and-white video posted to her Instagram feed following the show, Grande said from bed, “Thank you so much” after asking the camera operator whether the footage was rolling. She was joined by Myron, who was snuggled up next to her under the covers.
“It’s me your tiny, highly emotional, italian, and now grammy award winning friend,” Grande captioned the cute clip. “I’m super tarnished lol. but super grateful. thank u for everything. myron is in my arms n he says hi as well.”

The video came hours after Miller lost out on a posthumous award for best rap album — an honor that was bestowed instead upon Cardi B, for her debut record Invasion of Privacy.
After Cardi B‘s win, Grande shared her frustration about Miller’s loss on Twitter, later clarifying that she wasn’t upset at the 26-year-old “Ring” rapper but at the Recording Academy for inviting Miller’s parents to watch him lose.
In an Instagram video where she thanked various people, including her family, team and fans, Cardi B also shouted out the late rapper, who died five months ago from an accidental overdose.
“I read an article that Mac Miller’s family said that if he don’t win, they want me to win so I’m sharing this Grammy with you mother f—er! Rest in peace,” said Cardi B then sharing a screenshot of the article to her Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Grande has spent one-on-one time with Miller’s pup since her ex’s death.
Most recently, in early January, the “Thank U, Next” singer shared a sweet photo to her Instagram Story, where Myron was seen resting his head on her shoulder while Grande appeared to wear a sweatshirt of Miller’s reading, “I’m not a rapper.”
Earlier, she documented their airport pickup, including the canine’s affinity for the driver’s seat. “New driver,” Grande wrote alongside a video, in which Myron got comfortable behind the wheel while the vehicle was stopped.
The 61st Grammy Awards, hosted by Alicia Keys, were broadcast live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS.
