A SINGLE mum has shared how she created an amazing toy car racing track for her son, two, from an old coffee table for under £10.
The savvy woman revealed she started the project during lockdown after she lost her job, and wanted to make the present on a budget.
The impressive car track includes a ramp and a garage, and the mum says her son “plays with it constantly.”
She shared photos of the racing track on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
She wrote: “Wow I am amazed at the response this has got, I started this as a project during lockdown and as a single parent I struggled so needed to occupy myself.
“I revamped it recently because I lost a job due to good old corona so decided to put my carpentry skills to the test (not my next career) but thank you for your comments and look forward to seeing what others create.”
She explained how she used an old coffee table, blackboard paint, an old shelf and strips of wood in the construction.
The mum added: “Cost under £10 for materials but my son loves it and plays with it constantly and I enjoyed making it.”
After her post was shared yesterday, it has already racked up over 3,500 likes from impressed parents.
