Queen Camilla shimmers at state banquet wearing Greville Tiara

King Charles and Camilla arrive for state banquet in Germany

Queen Camilla, 75, looked fabulous tonight in Germany for a state banquet. The Queen Consort donned her Greville Tiara and a Bruce Oldfield dress.

Queen Camilla’s black and white shimmery dress contained beautiful silver embroidery by Bruce Oldfield.

Mr Oldfield has been a designer for the Queen Consort for many years and even used to make clothes for the late Princess Diana.

The Queen Consort chose her Greville Tiara to accessorise for tonight’s function.

Daena Borrowman, the PR, Social and Digital Marketing Manager at jewellerybox previously spoke to Express.co.uk about this jewel.

She said: “Camilla now owns a few pieces of the Queen Mother’s jewels, including the Greville Tiara, a piece that she has worn the most and is closest to her heart.”

However, it wasn’t just the Queen Mother who Camilla decided to pay tribute to with her style tonight.

The Queen Consort also paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II during her state visit to Germany.

She did this by wearing the late Queen’s City of London Fringe Necklace for the state banquet.

The late Queen Elizabeth II famously wore this gorgeous necklace for a function back in 2002.

In addition, the Queen Consort wore the Grand Cross (Special Class) of the Federal Order of Merit this evening.

This was gifted to Queen Camilla today by the President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Queen Camilla then opted to wear The Garter Star, which was Queen Victoria’s Queen’s Family Order.

Royal fans loved the Queen Consort’s style and took to social media to express their admiration for her iconic dress and jewellery.

Royal fan @notaroyalexpert tweeted: “The Queen did not disappoint.”

Another fan, @cadimamartins added: “Camilla looks like a Christmas tree with lots of lights.”

Twitter user @toriaa_h wrote: “Camilla slay!” In addition, @Adelsexpertin commented: “Gorgeous! Absolutely stunning!”

Royal fan @KateMiddStyle said: “Love the gown too, wow. Such a sparkling look!”

King Charles looked incredibly dapper himself this evening, opting for a white tie with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany 1st class sash.

He also wore The Diamond Order of the Bath Neck Order with miniature medals.

The state banquet took place at Schloss Bellevue in Berlin tonight shortly after the King and Queen Consort arrived in the country earlier today.
