The life aquatic has always exerted a special pull on Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, who grew up in the Caribbean. While those influences are never far below the surface at their men’s wear brand Botter, they’ve been diluted at Nina Ricci, as they sought to find a balance between the house’s heritage and their own vision.
This season, the duo swam back into their comfort zone with a mix of sporty and feminine looks inspired by diving gear. The focus was on easy pieces, reflecting the brand’s recent move into a more accessible price bracket with a “one brand, digital first and approachable luxury” philosophy.
Shoulder-baring knit scuba tops were paired with long pencil skirts, featuring curved zippers, or wide pants with peel-away waistbands. Board shorts were dressed up with suit jackets, some with cutout panels at the chest, or layered over fluted leggings.

With their juicy palette of turquoise, tangerine, purple and optic white, the outfits conjured a happy place. Herrebrugh and Botter, who are expecting their first child, said after three years at the house, they feel comfortable bringing a more personal touch to their designs.
“It’s a first step, and this is definitely a story that we will tell more expressively in the coming main collection, and we feel really good about that,” Herrebrugh said.
