A KEEN vegetable grower has revealed her gardening hack to rid your backyard of moss.
Her method used just two ingredients and is cheap too.
It will kill the green stuff but there are no nasty chemicals in her concoction.
Rachel Jessey (@benourisheduk) is a nutritionist.
She is also a keen gardener and vegetable grower.
But, as any gardener will attest, backyards can be plagued with moss at this time of the year.
Before any planting got underway, Rachel was determined to tackle her backyard mossy problem.
“How to get rid of moss from the veggie patch," she announced in her post.
“Today I’m going to show you how I get rid of the moss growing in my veggie patch for the last couple of months."
She was wrapped up in a big fleecy coat as she showed viewers the state of her vegetable garden.

It was covered in the pesky green moss.
“Please don’t judge me, I know it’s bad," she said.
Then she revealed her magic recipe.
“Add one tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda to two liters of boiling water," she instructed.

Add one tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda to 2 liters of boiling water.
Pour over moss and leave for 24 hours.
After a day, dig over the area to aerate it.
The soil will be moss-free.
“[Then] pour over your moss and leave for 24 hours to die back."
When she returned to her garden, she gave it a little dig to aerate the area.
It had been transformed.
“And voila, you have moss-free soil," she said delightedly.
