MEGHAN Markle fans are rallying around the duchess to support her following the shock news that she and Prince Harry are stepping back as senior royals.
The announcement may have left many surprised, but a host of loyal fans are forking out for her cookbook to show their support.
Political commentator Damon Evans wrote on Twitter: “Watched a load of videos of her and concluded: it’s not about what they’ve done wrong, it’s about what she represents: feminism, activism, diversity etc. All the things ‘they’ hate.”
He added that fans can show their allegiance by ordering a copy of the Together: Our Community Cookbook, which Meghan worked on with women at the Hubb Community Kitchen.
An Amazon spokesperson is said to have confirmed to BAZAAR.com that there has been a “considerable increase” in sales over the past week.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited The Hubb Community kitchen this week privately, and shared photos of the visit on their SussexRoyal account.
The royal couple posted on Instagram: “The Duke and Duchess were so happy to reconnect with the women and hear about the projects they continue to develop to help those in their community and beyond.
“With funds from the successful cookbook, they have now been able to share their spirit of community with so many more.
“The Hubb continues to work with local organisations to build hope, bring comfort and provide not simply a warm meal, but with it, a sense of togetherness.”
The book features 50 recipes from women who came together in the West London community following the tragic Grenfell Tower fire of 2017.
The book included a foreword from the Duchess herself, and the annual financial report for The Royal Foundation in the summer revealed that the book raised a whopping £557,638 after selling over 130,000 copies.
Meghan first visited the kitchen – which ran for two days a week – in January 2018, and continued to make personal visits.
Last week Meghan and Prince Harry revealed they will now be splitting their time between the UK and North America.
While the Duchess of Sussex has fled the UK for Canada, the Duke, 35, has been left to pick up the pieces and will be locked in crunch talks with the Queen at Sandringham today.
He is reportedly torn over the idea of severing ties with the royals completely as he and Meghan work to become "financially independent".
Her Majesty also aims to sort the Sussexes’ roles, and Meghan, 38, could join in via conference call.
The couple could use the TV threat to try to secure a better deal at the Sandringham talks.
Sources reveal the couple may make the move to LA if Trump isn't in power after it emerged they will be "stepping back" from their royal duties in the UK.
They are reportedly considering a move to LA and Toronto, as well as Vancouver Island where they spent the holidays in a luxury waterfront mansion.
Meanwhile, tense Kate Middleton was seen ahead of Queen’s crunch summit today with Prince Harry and William.
And Piers slammed the Sussex couple as being 'two spoiled brats holding the monarchy to ransom'.
