A MIDSIZE woman has revealed that she thought she’d give Zara a whirl for some new summer clothes, but was left with very mixed thoughts after trying on bits in the changing room.
While some items were clear winners, Rosie Breen, a fashion fan who describes herself as a “midsize queen”, was left disappointed when a variety of size XL items were not even close to zipping up.
Rosie took to TikTok and shared a clip with the caption ‘Zara trying to ruin your self esteem with s**t sized clothing but we won't let them!!!!’
The social media star shared screenshots of some of the new-in pieces on the Zara models and then shared how they looked on her.
First of all, Rosie modelled a black denim corset top in a size XL.
While it looked pretty good from the front, Rosie pulled a disapproving face and then turned around to show that it would barely zip up.

After this, Rosie tried on a pink textured crop top in a size M.
Unlike the corset, this top was a much better fit on Rosie, as she beamed for the camera.
Following this, the social media user then tried on a draped crop top, also in a size M.
She mouthed “love” but then shook her head at the top’s fit on her figure.

Rosie then modelled a printed tulle swimsuit, in a size XL.
But she was not impressed, yet again, as she made a disappointed face.
Unfortunately for Rosie, things didn’t look up, as she then modelled a patchwork denim dress in a size L.
The dress was far too tight for the midsize fashion fan, as she pointed to where the buttons were bulging open.
However, Rosie then tried on a pair of patchwork jeans, in a size XL.
Unlike the dress, these jeans were a much better fit, as Rosie turned around to give her followers a closer look at the flattering fit of the jeans.
Things continued looking good when Rosie then modelled a denim skirt, this time in a size L.
Rosie paired the skirt with a white cropped t-shirt, for a very flattering fit.
However, the denim dream was soon crushed when Rosie tried on a pair of straight leg jeans.
Despite Rosie nabbing a size XL, she couldn’t get the jeans on – as she struggled to pull them over her thighs.
However, she then opted for a pair of mid-rise jeans, also in a size XL.
Despite being the same size, these jeans were a much nicer fit, and pleased with the denims, unlike the pair prior, Rosie could actually do them up.
