GONE are the days of just getting birthday presents from your family and friends – you can snap them up from your favourite beauty and self care brands.
Most people don’t realise that your special day is the perfect time to cash-in on freebies and vouchers.
And turning another year older might just sting a bit less if you can stock your makeup bag up for free in the process.
Beauty brands offer everything from free treatments and products to vouchers that you have a few weeks to spend.
Most require you to simply sign up to their newsletter or loyalty scheme before cashing in the goodies.
Fabulous has put together the ultimate rundown of birthday freebies you can snap up when your special day next rolls around.
Clinique
Beauty buffs signed up to Clinique’s Smart Rewards loyalty scheme can expect a range of birthday freebies on their special day.
Those with zero to 75 points on their account will get a free sized product, while those with over 75 points will enjoy a complimentary service from any Clinique counter alongside a full sized gift.
Services include eye brightening treatment, an instant eye lift or educational sessions tailored to helping you find the perfect products for your skin.

Space NK
Coveted beauty shop Space NK’s loyalty program is called NDULGE and signing up gets you some mini products on your birthday.
The gifts change month by month and are selected by the company’s buying team so you won’t know what you’re getting until your birthday month rolls around.
You'll need to sign up for the loyalty scheme at least six weeks before your birthday.
The Body Shop
At The Body Shop you get a fiver to spend on products on your birthday if you’re signed up to its Love Your Body loyalty scheme.
The money can be spent online or in store but you won’t get any change from it so you’ll need to spend it all in one go to get your money’s worth.
The voucher lasts for a month after your birthday so you don't have to splash out straight away.
KIKO Milano
Everyone’s favourite Italian make-up brand also gives customers a cool £5 voucher if they’re signed up to its Kisses loyalty scheme.
Kiko Milano is generous enough to give you two months to spend the money – but the catch is that you have to spend at least £25 to redeem it.
Huda Beauty
Huda’s VIP loyalty program works on tiers depending on how much you’ve spent there but promises a birthday gift to anyone who is signed up.
So even those who haven’t spent a thing can expect a freebie on their birthday.
However, it’s likely the gift changes on a regular basis as Huda Beauty hasn’t confirmed exactly what’s up for grabs.
Oliver Bonas
Oliver Bonas stocks beauty brands from REN Clean Skincare and Coco & Eve and you can bag £5 off these if you’re signed up to its newsletter.
The voucher can also go towards This Works products, a lip balm from Dr Paw Paw, a clay mask from Sand & Sky and a face mask from Oh K!
Hobbs
Hobbs doesn’t just do luxury clothing… it does candles and you can pick one up for free on your birthday.
