Kamala Harris, 56, from California, won the US election running with now-President Joe Biden. She is known for her fashion-forward, practical style, often wearing pantsuits and sneakers.
A fan of brands like Dolce and Gabbana and Altazurra, she wears chic separates in neutral colours with her signature pearls.
The politician’s style was analysed by experts with Express.co.uk.
Katie Eastwood, Stylist Ambassador at Stitch Fix UK discussed the Vice President’s wardrobe.
She expert claimed Kamala uses her wardrobe to represent her leadership and keeps American’s focused on her work as VP.

“What’s particularly interesting about Kamala’s power dressing, is how even the most subtle of outfits have something to say about her leadership,” Katie said.
The expert broke down the Vice President’s looks from as early as the presidential debates when her look was already well formulated.
“At the vice-presidential debate, she wore a navy trouser suit which, in true Kamala style, was neutral and classic, meaning there was no scope to analyse or even guess the label,” she said.
“Her outfit blended subtly with the blue background behind her, meaning all the focus and attention would instead be drawn to what she had to say, and the messages she wanted to convey.”

It is s shrewd move of Kamala to keep the emphasis on her work via her wardrobe, which is a mix of sharp, luxe businesswear mirroring the workwear of men in the White House.
She follows in the footstep of Hilary Clinton, a longtime advocate of the pantsuit.
But, the iconic pantsuit – which has been a calling card for career-focused women since the 1980s – is not the only signature style of Kamala’s that communicates something important about her work.
Katie said: “The emphasis on her work that is communicated by her choice of clothing is mirrored across other notable moments of the campaign.”
Interestingly, Kamala has embraced sportswear to emphasis her serious credentials as a politician, despite the fact athletic wear and leading the free world were once considered mutually exclusive.
Kate explained: “Take for example her trusty Converse, seen sporting badges with slogans reading ‘stop hate’ – showing not only her recognition for the issues at hand but also the dedication she has to solve them.
“Then there’s the Nike tracksuit worn the day she and Biden won their campaign – the slogan ‘Just Do It’ embodied her work ethic flawlessly and was indicative of her meaningful and powerful intent to carry out her duties from that day onward.”
Kamala’s sports shoes and comfortable clothes have emphasises her practical approach to politics and a focus on policy, not style.
Although, Kamala Harris does have a favourite when it comes to designer high heels.
The Vice President has numerous pairs of Manolo Blahnik shoes, a style made popular by the Sex and the City series.
The shoes have also been name-checked or featured in Fifty Shades of Grey and Gossip Girl as well as a surprising number of rap songs, including by Jay Z.
She wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels, the BB 105 style in black patent leather, £515, for the inauguration.
