Anna Wintour gives Meghan Markle‘s pregnancy wardrobe a resounding A+.
The longtime editor-in-chief of Vogue shared her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex’s maternity style during a new episode of the magazine’s YouTube video series, Go Ask Anna. When one reader asked Anna for her pregnancy dressing recommendations, she immediately mentioned how impressed she’s been by Meghan’s latest looks.
“I’ve been very taken by how Meghan Markle has been dressing, the Duchess of Sussex has been dressing throughout her pregnancy,” Anna said.
She joked that while most women opt for flats instead of high heels in later trimesters, Meghan’s wowed by doing the exact opposite.

“Her heels actually seem to be getting taller every time I look at a picture of her!” Anna said.

She continued by sharing her own maternity dressing tips: “When pregnant I think it is very important to continue wearing your own personal style. I never understand why women suddenly decide they want to hide their pregnancy. Why not celebrate it. It is an incredibly joyful time in a woman’s life. It is nothing to be hidden and be ashamed of. It is much better to flaunt it, so go for it.”
Anna recently shared that much of her recent outfit inspiration has been coming from Meghan too. During a sit down conversation with Tina Brown at Brown’s “Women in the World” Summit, the fashion editor credited none other than Meghan for inspiring her to step out of her fashion comfort zone.
She said, “I’ve been thinking a lot about suits recently so … thank you to the Duchess of Sussex!”
