Twitter Responds to Donald Trump’s Alleged Password Hack

Twitter is responding to the report that a Donald Trump‘s account was hacked into and his password was revealed.

Victor Gevers, a Dutch security researcher, said he guessed Trump’s password, “maga2020!” and was able to gain access without any two-factor authentication set up.

However, Twitter is now responding to this claim, saying, “We’ve seen no evidence to corroborate this claim, including from the article published in the Netherlands today.”

Victor says he apparently was able to hack in once before years ago. Back in 2016, Victor said the president’s password was “yourefired,” his catchphrase from The Apprentice.

What Victor says he did is actually against the law under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. It is illegal to access anyone else’s account without authorization.
