Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis’ custody battle is getting ugly.
The disgraced politician-turned-“Southern Charm” star claimed in new court documents obtained via The Blast that Dennis should not be given primary custody of their two children because she buys drugs from the show’s producers.
Ravenel, 56, claimed that Dennis, 26, “abuses prescription drugs, is engaged in the use of illegal drugs, and consumes alcohol in combination thereof regularly” and “has been intoxicated by the abuse of prescription drugs and/or use of illegal drugs while [their children are] in [her] sole care.” He alleged that she buys, sells and trades prescription drugs with “friends, cast members and show producers to support her prescription drug habit.”
Ravenel also maintained that the show’s producers asked his on-again-off-again girlfriend Ashley Jacobs to make defamatory statements about Dennis for a storyline — not him. He claimed that she is only seeking primary custody for a storyline this season as well.
He further alleged that Dennis “condoned and/or encouraged [former nanny Dawn] Ledwell to make false allegations of sexual assault and to file a criminal complaint against him, on the heels of the ‘Me Too’ movement, for purposes of helping [her] gain custody of the parties’ minor children in a subsequent modification action.”
He also claimed that Dennis gets “overwhelmed” when she has Kensie, 4, and Saint, 3, for extended periods of time and is consistently late to their appointments, and accused Dennis of committing a hit-and-run in October 2018, but did not go into detail about the alleged accident.
Dennis previously asked a judge to deny Ravenel’s request to maintain their joint custody agreement in light of the sexual assault allegations and criminal trial against him. Ravenel is suing Bravo to stop them from airing footage of Dennis discussing the litigation.
Bravo did not get back to us with a comment.
