Thieves have hit Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney‘s £10 million London mansion.
According to the BBC, police have commenced an investigation into the break in, which happened at about 6:20 pm on Friday, December 7. Scotland Yard officials discovered signs of forced entry. No arrests have yet been made.
Officials have not revealed whether McCartney or his wife Nancy Shevell were home at the time of the burglary.
McCartney has commenced the UK leg of his Freshen Up tour, with the 76-year-old music legend performing in Liverpool on Wednesday, with another show scheduled at the O2 Arena in London this Sunday.
McCartney had recently shared his home recorded rendition of “Dear Friend,” a song that was featured on Wings’ 1971 album Wild Life. McCartney’s recording of the John Lennon-inspired song and the remastered studio version of the track will be featured on the reissue of the 1971 LP.
